Earth is dying. Its resources are used up or contaminated. Plagues have decimated the planet's population to a mere two million- a population number not seen for fifty-thousand years.

With time running out, Earth sends probes to search for suitable planets. Several planets are found that will support a portion of Earth's population- Humanity will live on, it will just be spread across fifty light-years. Then a planet that will sustain all of Earth's inhabitants is found. A perfect planet.

Project Arcturus is born.

A battle-hardened contingent is sent to Arcturus to eliminate the local population and prepare the planet for immediate colonization.

On planet Arcturus, an apple was declined. Sin never gained a foothold. And all was well for thousands of years until Earth's probe found them. As the inhabitants become aware of the impending arrival of brothers from a far off world, they turn to the One that provides them guidance and wisdom.

Earth's plans for an easy conquering of the planet are wrong. Very wrong.

AUTHOR'S NOTE- On Arcturus, the covenant between the locals and God has not been broken so He still moves among the people. I have not presumed to give a form to God, nor have I put words in His mouth. God in my story presents Himself as a warm breeze, or as a pillar of smoke or fire as described in the Old Testament. I would not have felt comfortable presenting God in any other way. I also write about the results of prayer, NOT the actual discussions between God and the locals.

I really enjoyed this story. The maintenance manager of my apartment complex is related to the author and told me about this book while repairing my freezer. I'm sure i would not have come across this book otherwise.
It's an interesting concept relating to what it would be like for beings on another planet who, in their Garden of Eden, did NOT take eat the forbidden apple, and therefore did not bring on the results of sin in their world. And then the humans from earth decide to make contact with them. I'm glad someone took this idea and developed a great story with it!

Apple Declined Book 1 of The Prodigals edition by Robert P Wills Sara Allen Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews

Started out wondering where this was going. Really started to get into the story line. Thoroughly enjoyed it and at the end was anxiously awaiting the next book.
an interesting story showing that humans may no longer be God's chosen children. It was easy to associate with Nick and his family, especially if you have served in the military. I hope there is a continuation of this story. I'd like to see Nick and his family find a new home and their humanity.
As an avid paranormal romance reader, I was amazed at how this book has turned me onto a new genre. The characters are well developed, the storyline is never dull, and it left me wanting this to become a series. Would have happily spent much more on this great book.
Nicely switched between the new planet and the old earth for storyline but the ending seemed rushed and a little unclear.
Wonderful premise! Love the 'what if' to the Adam and Evening question. Wills does an excellent job of creating a realistic world in which to emerge and you'll quickly know which side you want to be on.

Highly recommend. ..a great read.
I listened to this book on Audible. It's a good story, I enjoyed it very much. It's thought provoking. Makes you look at the human race from a different perspective. The characters are engaging, the story line is interesting. I would like to see this book turn into a series. The narrator has a unique voice, very easy to listen to.

Kinda sorry the story ended.
I feel a little queazy writing a review of this book, ...er, ...uh, ...because I'm the guy who narrated the audiobook version. But, for what it's worth, I reviewed about a hundred books this month for possible narration, and Robert's writing just jumped out at me. Phew. He's created some mighty memorable characters--the good, the bad, and the ugly. What a fun, dynamic, suspense-filled story! Whoa. The premise of the book alone is ...well, damn clever! I just wanna say thank you, Robert, for a very delightful, action-packed, ...and dare I say, even inspirational roller coaster ride.
I really enjoyed this story. The maintenance manager of my apartment complex is related to the author and told me about this book while repairing my freezer. I'm sure i would not have come across this book otherwise.
